Pictures and biographical information on each member of the New Morty Show. On any given night you can see us in some incarnation of these guys and gals.

You're on your own for marital status!

Band leader Morty Okin, with his Golden Trumpet, is the man behind the band. Morty is a classically trained musician (and a hell of a guy that has great hair), who never wanted anything more than success in Las Vegas.
(Well, that's not entirely true anymore!) You can also see Morty performing with Kiss My Brass and many other bay area bands.

The Lovely and talented San Francisco Diva Miss Connie Champagne. Connie is our original female vocalist and is the pearl of The New Morty Show oyster, the Ying to Vise Grip's Yang....they are pure magic together. Connie is a San Francisco legend and can be seen on any given night in a great play or musical as well as her own musical projects such as her critically acclaimed Judy Garland revue or Xmas with the Crawfords. We are all so thrilled she's back with us!!

The undisputed master of the one liners, kingpin of the Jewish Swing Mafia and the funniest guy you'll ever meet...Mr Vise Grip, aka "The bald guy". Vise is our original male vocalist and can be seen behind the bar in his Tiki room at 19 Broadway in Fairfax CA, as well as with his own group Zooma Zooma. Go and say hi to him, he makes a fantastic umbrella drink! Welcome back pops!

Her powerful voice will knock you flat on your ass....this is the soulful Miss Kat Starr. We have many hilarious road stories with Kat as she toured extensively with us. Kat can also be seen in San Francisco's landmark show with the big hats!

The sultry Miss Cynthia Lewis. Cynthia is an accomplished jazz vocalist who has performed throughout the Bay Area with numerous jazz ensembles. Her voice will make ya melt.

King-Daddy hipster Jeff Whipp takes over the lead vocal reins of The New Morty Show. Jeff, most recently, has been a Nashville country and western recording star(performing under a different name). With numerous top ten new country hits under his belt, Jeff decided it was time to take a different direction.Hmm. Fact or fiction? You decide!! Jeff is now in New York and is a big shot with HBO. We miss ya!

Mr. Van Hughes is a respected and brilliant trombone player who has performed with such swing greats as Woody Herman and Duke Ellington. It just doesn't get much better.

Mr. Joe Escobar is also a respected and brilliant trombone player and vocalist. You can see Joe also performing with Kiss My Brass.

Saxophonist David Murotake blows the roof off every venue that Morty brings the band to perform and has played in numerous bands throughout the bay area including Undercover SKA (Slimstyle records).

Oh yes, this is Tom Griesser folks, aka G-dog. Tom is our original baritone sax player and is back with us blowing his brains out on that huge chunk of metal. He has a tendency to run around the audience and honk his horn at you, so beware! Tom can slo be seen around town with The Marcus Shelby Orchestra. We're glad you're back with us G-dog......word!

Matt Cowan grew up listening to Morty and the gang. He spent his adolescent years hoping someday he could step into The New Morty Show horn section. His time has come! Matt is in New York City these days being a big shot. Hope you're doing well buddy, we miss ya!

Pianist and composer John Quam, aka "The Colonel", not only swings with the best of 'em, but he's quickly becoming a composer and arranger of tunes that are destined to become classics. You can also see John performing with Kiss My Brass.

Mr. Trevor Kinsel has been on the road with The New Morty Show a few times. Ah, so many great road stories of this young lad. He's a fantastic bassist as you'll hear when ya catch him with us or in many jazz spots around town with his own groups. Keep up the good work kid!

The amazing David Rubin is back on board beating his little heart out on the skins with us. He's our famed original drummer but decided to make his mark in the tech world. We're glad you're back on board pal! The boys and girls have never seen such swinging! Hope you can remember all chrarts!

The ever-so-swank and swinging Mr.Jason Gianni has also conceded and taken up the reins at the traps(or drums, in layman's terms)when Dave is too busy being a tech geek and coding software. This boy sounds like he's possessed when he locks in. The man can bring home a beat and clamp down on the groove. You can also see Jason with his fantastic and fast rising alternative band Miggs.

The six strings are now under the command of Mr. Robert Castillo. Schooled in the art of laying down those crazy swinging riffs, Robert has played in numerous S.F. Bay Area groups for some time. Morty has been a big fan of Capt. Robert's playing and persuaded him to come on board The New Morty Show when a space was available. The gang is ecstatic - and fortunate - to have such a talented musician on the guitar.
